the most famous place for churros in all of Spain is San Gines in downtown Madrid. this is my most important stop on the trip. here i get to see where it all began. San Gines has been around since 1890 and their churros, chocolate, and coffees are legendary.

my cousin and I found ourselves drooling, tasting, and taking notes.

design-wise, san gines is very typical of spanish churro shops. round marble cafe tables, bistro style chairs, ceramic tile everywhere.

this was by far my favorite churro stop so far on the trip.
